Gold Rush - SprintWhen: June 19, 2009 Directions to Sprint: From I-84 in either direction, take Exit 53 (Vista Ave.) and travel North on Vista Ave. Follow Vista Avenue until it turns into Capital Blvd. Cross the Boise River and take the first right on Battery St. into Julia Davis Park. Parking will be in Julia Davis Park across the Boise River from Boise State University. Or you can enter off of W. Myrtle St., turning right on S. 3rd St. Follow Julia Davis Dr. around to find parking just past the bandshell all the way past the Zoo. You can see available parking areas on the map above or by downloading the Course Notes. Then use the footbridge to head South across the river to Boise State University. Turn left once across the river and head East until you reach the Start/Finish at the university amphitheater. Please do not park on the BSU campus. Also note that restrooms on the Boise State side of the river are within the area of competition. If you need to use the restroom we suggest using the restrooms in Julia Davis park (also labeled on the map above). Gold Rush Hills - A MeetWhen: June 20-21, 2009 Directions for Saturday and Sunday: Saturday we will be parking at “Granite Creek Recreation” area. Go past Idaho City about 2 miles on HW 21. You will see the parking sign on your right and orienteering directional sign pointing you in the right direction. You will need to cross HW 21 on your way to start/finish area and back to parking. Be careful! Sunday turn left on Main St. at the visitor center in Idaho City. Go a third of a mile and turn right or north on Bear Run Rd. Continue generally north on Bear Run Rd. avoiding turning off on other roads for 2.75 miles to Lykow Flat for parking. Park only in the designated areas or on the right side of the road to give room for the emergency vehicles! The start and finish will be adjacent to the parking area. |
