Follow the signs to the camp which is less than 1 mile up a moderate grade. \u00a0We don&#8217;t have the camp until 11am on Saturday, and expect to have designated spots at 12pm. \u00a0If you have a pet, it is required to be leashed or in a crate at all times in the camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are multiple lodging options there, including bunkhouses ($15), RV camping ($15), or tent ($10 per site, tents not provided). \u00a0Bunkhouses hold 15-24 beds each and include mattresses, but you need to supply your own bedding. \u00a0Group showers are available at the camp, but you need to supply your own towel. \u00a0If you want this option, simply specify which lodging type when registering. \u00a0The group dinner on Saturday night will be here in the dining hall. \u00a0Please note that alcohol is not allowed at this camp and we are all responsible for leaving it clean.<\/p>\n<p>There are multiple USFS campgrounds with water and vault toilets near Idaho City:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grayback Gulch (closest to the meet site and fills up quickly on summer weekends. \u00a0Can be reserved through <a title=\"USFS recreation.gov\" href=\"http:\/\/www.recreation.gov\/camping\/grayback-id\/r\/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&amp;parkId=70097\" target=\"_blank\">recreation.gov<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li>TenMile<\/li>\n<li>Bad Bear<\/li>\n<li>Hayfork (includes a group camp)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Keep in mind with the local rodeo going on the same weekend, all camping and restaurants in Idaho City are expected to be tight.<\/p>\n<p>You might also take advantage of the reopened hot springs in town, now called <a title=\"The Springs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thespringsid.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Springs<\/a>, where reservations can be made in advance to assure room for a soak.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind there is no cell coverage in Idaho City, except for a small booster station right at the visitor&#8217;s center in town. \u00a0You should not expect any coverage in the camp or on the map itself while orienteering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The closest airport is in Boise (BOI). \u00a0The Friday sprint will be 20-30 minutes from the airport depending on traffic, while Idaho City is about 60 minutes north and east up US-21.
